The much anticipated Camaro Z28 will begin rolling off the production line in January 2012, according to a dealer that spilled the beans over at the Camaro5 forums after attending a National Chevrolet Dealer’s meeting.

Here's what BeckyD/RodgersChevrolet noted about the Z28 on the Camaro forums:

  • 2012 Camaro Z28 production begins January 1, 2012
  • Internally referred to as the "HP Model"
  • 6.2L supercharged engine
  • Magnetic Ride suspension
  • 285F / 330R tires
  • Hood design to have louvre/slat design seen in spy photos (dealers in attendance were shown a gray Z28 model)
  • Slight (not major) updates to the interior, with some brighter trimwork

The dealer also gave out some additional info on the upcoming 2012MY Camaro, which is slated to arrive in dealership this summer. According to the tipster, GM told dealers that is preparing a 45th Anniversary special edition package with a "carbon flash color", all black interior and unique wheels, which will be available on both the coupe and convertible models.

VIDEO: Female Driver in Camaro gets Cornered by Police but Doesn't Know When to Stop...

Trying to get away from the police in the first place is downright stupid, but the female driver of this fourth-generation Chevrolet Camaro drop-top took stupidity to a whole new level when she tried to rear-end / ram a police car that had her cornered on the road. The lady driver huffed and puffed her Camaro's rear wheels but in the end, she gave up. As for the driver of the older-generation Mercedes-Benz E-Class sedan that can't make a turn, the video speaks for itself.

Irmscher Unleashes Camaro i42 with 509HP Supercharged 6.2-liter V8

With the European launch of the Chevrolet Camaro just around the corner, General Motor's semi-official tuning partner across the pond, Irmscher, is gearing up for the presentation with the release of a limited production version of its i42 Camaro study, which was showcased at this year's Essen Motor Show.

For the creation of the i42 Camaro, Irmscher joined forces with Auto Magnus und Velocity Performance Parts. Based on the Camaro SS with the 6.2-liter V8, the i42 benefits from a bevy of upgrades, the most important being the addition of a supercharger and a new custom exhaust system, which boost output to 509-horsepower. The tune allows the Camaro i42 to complete the 0-100km/h (62 mph) sprint in about 4.0 seconds and reach a top speed of 275 km/h or 171 mph.

Irmscher also fitted the American muscle car with a sports brake system comprising of 380 mm front discs with 6 piston calipers and 355 mm rear discs with 4 piston calipers, plus an adjustable sports suspension. The car now rides on new 22-inch alloy wheels with a funky black and silver design. The package is rounded off with black racing stripes and matching "Since 68" logos.

Depending on the configuration, the Irmscher i42 Camaro can be had in Germany from €49,000, or about US$64,900.

NAHC Picks Chevrolet Camaro as 2010's "Collectible Car of the Future"

From all the new cars and trucks launched in America this year, the vehicle to turn most heads in 2035 will most likely be the Chevrolet Camaro. Or at least that is the prediction of the Friends of the National Automotive History Collection (NAHC), which decided that GM's muscle car is the 2010's "Collectible Car of the Future".

Charles K. Hyde, chairman of the NAHC Board of Trustees, said: "This selection is unique among all the 'Vehicle of the Year' awards, because it is selected by 'car buffs' who know what future collectors will value. We asked our members to predict which of this year's new vehicles will turn heads in the Woodward Cruise of 2035."

The members of the organization selected the Camaro from a total of 13 all-new vehicles launched in 2010.

Tom Peters, Camaro chief designer commented: "Our mission with the 21st century Chevy Camaro was to draw on the passion and heritage, expressing it in a new and modern car with design, technology and quality to carry the legacy forward. It's simple; the new Camaro puts smiles on the faces of car enthusiasts of all ages."

Last year's vote went to the Ford Flex making it the first crossover to win since the creation of the awards in 1995. Over the years, NAHC has picked a variety of vehicles including the Chrysler Sebring Convertible as 1996's "Collectible Car of the Future". No, seriously; from all the vehicles launched that year, NAHC's members found that Chrysler's rent-a-cabriolet would rate the highest among future collectors in 2020. What can you say... Below is the full list of NHAC's previous winners.

NAHC Previous winners are:

2008 - Dodge Challenger

2007 - Dodge Viper SRT10

2006 - Pontiac Solstice

2005 - Ford Mustang

2004 - Chrysler 300

2003 - Dodge Viper

2002 - Ford Thunderbird

1996 - Chrysler Sebring Convertible

1995 - Buick Riviera and Oldsmobile Aurora

*None selected from 1997 to 2001

The new 2011 Chevrolet camaro

Chevrolet Camaro history
Call 1st Generation has features like: - year 1967 - total production of 220,906 cars - year 1968 - total production of 235,147 cars - year 1969 - total production of 243,085 cars These vehicles allow in their VIN (Vehicle Identification Numbers), a way to identify the 6 cylinder engines (online) of the V8, in his third character, the number "3" indicates that it is 6 cylinder, while the number "4" indicates it is a V8.
The 1970s were not profitable for the Chevrolet Camaro: rising oil prices made the consumers choose vehicles that consume less. Antipollution measures did away with the big V8 in 1972 and the end of production of the SS in 1973 and the appearance of the Chevrolet Camaro LT focusing more luxury and comfort and less power, giving rise to even six-cylinder engines, less powerful and more economical. The crisis is another "victim" in 74, ending with the Z28. On May 11, 1978, the Chevrolet Camaro left the No. 2 plant in Van Nuys, California. And in 1982, enters the field, a new version of the Chevrolet camaro IROC-Z call (international racing champions of) this version was until 1990 when production ended, the third generation Camaro, with the major aesthetic changes after 12 years. With its futuristic design is chosen by almost a third time as the official Pace Car Indy 500 500.

First-generation Chevrolet Camaro (1967-69)
Mechanically great news also were on account of the new all-aluminum engine, again derived from the same unit Chevrolet Corvette. Is a 5.7-liter V8 that produced 305 horsepower in the Z28 and the SS 320. New disc brakes with Bosch ABS for assistance in the four weels. No significant change occurred until 1998.

Launched in 2009, the new generation Chevrolet Camaro is a reinterpretation of the models launched between 1967 and 1969 (first generation), with a futuristic  and aggressive design. It is today compared with its competitors, the Ford Mustang and Dodge Challenger, the faster and better grades on tests conducted between the three models.

2010 New Chevrolet Camaro Sports Car UFC Limited Edition

Most great and amazing sport elegant car 2010 Chevrolet Camaro interior design and exterior body kit design that will make you interesting. The UFC sports car maker now a days launched it is teaming up with Findlay Customs and Modern Muscle Las Vegas to release 10 Limited Edition UFC Chevrolet Camaros sports car. UFC, in combination with Findlay Customs and Modern Muscle Las Vegas will build the limited-edition 2010 UFC Camaros sports car complete with 650 Super-charged powerful engine horsepower and one-of-a-kind vehicles features which will create even the most die-hard UFC fan or gear head stand up and get notice.
2010 New Chevrolet Camaro Sports Car UFC Limited Edition
The 2010 Chevrolet Camaro sports car looks like a new vehicle, but it was built from existing GM parts from other models. They started with the chassis architecture of the impressive Pontiac G8 and engines from Cadillac and Covette. GM made the new Camaro drop-dead gorgeous, with high performance, and affordable.
The interior of the new Camaro is comfortable and materials are good, but the exterior styling is where it shines. The stitched leather wrap on the steering wheel is nice, and the bucket seats are comfortable, with decent bolstering, but may not be enough to keep an aggressive driver in his or her place during aggressive cornering.
The front seat slides 8.5 inches, the steering wheel tilts and telescopes, and the seat can be raised up for better visibility, so drivers of all sizes will fit. The excellent leather upholstery is available in black, gray, beige and two-tone Inferno Orange.
The climate control buttons on the center stack didn't seem to be designed for ease of touch, but more for looks, but I have seen worse. Visibility through the windshield is good despite the long hood and raked windshield, thanks to careful location of the driver's seat and the ability to raise it. Rear visibility over the driver's shoulder isn't very good, but then it's impossible to make it good with a chopped roofline that gives it its sporty look.
The new Camaro sports car succeeds for all the reasons to buy this sports car, great looks and styling, a very potent and efficient engine borrowed from Cadillac, great performance and handling, and a good price point. I have test driven the Dodge Challenger SRT8, and the Ford Mustang GT. For my money I would choose the new Camaro sports car.
The first UFC Camaro will be auctioned off at Barrett-Jackson's Orange County collector car auction taking place June 25-27 at the OC Fair & Events Center.  The winning bidder will also come away with a UFC experience package that includes an inaugural drive with UFC President Dana White, backstage VIP access to a UFC event, meet and greets with UFC fighters, an autographed OCTOGON book and UFC gear.
The Camaro is being auctioned for the Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund, a charity dedicated to providing financial assistance to dependents of US military personnel lost in the line of duty.
